Separation Lake Lodge - The Pros have their say:
Spence Petros - Spence considers this remote pool of the English River the best body of water he has fished in Ontario. "Everyone was catching fish, not just certain people or a few anglers. This really shows the type of fishery Separation offers. It's great for the average fisherman as well as the pro." Spence also says this lake is the best he has seen for crank and jerk baits-not only for big northern, they work just as well on walleye, whether cranking or trolling. Spence has made consecutive trips to Separation Lake, so his first trip fishing at Separation lake was not just a fluke as he was catching a hundred plus fish per day on crank baits. WOW! Al Linder - During a July trip with Al's son, Al remarked "Separation was my best drive-to Canadian fishing trip of the year for walleye and northern. We were too busy to get serious about the bass-but next time! The lake is loaded with humps and structure, plus stretches of good, fast water, making a perfect habitat. The accommodations and food were great. We had a very memorable time and loved it." Dan Gapen - On numerous trips to Separation Lake has written and photographed many, stories on and about Separation Lake, it's fisheries and wildlife, and has appeared on TV's Midwest Outdoors and in a large number of the fishing and hunting magazines over the past years. Dan loves this fisherman's dream-and refers to Separation as the Lake of Eagles. Gary Roach -Thinks Separation Lake was great, and can relate a lot of stories to this system, the fishery, especially smallies and walleye, as he has spent many hours on our waters. |
